The 3 stray Guinea Pigs (October 2010)
Cavy Angels Guinea Pig Rescue received a phone call from a lady that had just found 3 guinea pigs in her backyard and that she had caught them but didn’t know what do with them now..
She also said that one of the guinea pigs in particular looked to have some kind of skin problem. She had no idea as to where they came from and could not keep them herself.
I told the lady to bring them to the shelter and that we would treat them and find them new homes.
On arrival to the shelter it was obvious that all three had a mite/mange infestation and that they were all very under weight.
The three boys Houdini, Mischief and Arthur short for Arthur Coghlan are doing well they must have been pets at some stage as they are quite friendly. They are stacking on the weight with all the new yummy food and are getting treatment for mites/mange and they are improving slowly.
